The Cheriton March commemorating 29th March 1664 Battle, set off to the N of A272 near Winchester, as before all Primroses and daffodils line the route.
Arrangement by Hoptons Regt. a goodly mix of Sealed Knot and ECWS members
We were joined by 1807 redcoats, American Civil war re-enactors, with a very good hostelry to start and finish (Flower Pots Inn/brewery).
Some of the best marching drums I have heard echoing over the wide green fields, Well Done.
This time a service at drum head-altar in the field above (about where the Royalist field guns be positioned) the x-roads memorial, a copse to the side was for a running B.P. skirmish going tree to tree braving the briar bushes.
