Have a peek inside the tent flap :o

Col John Hampden his Regiment of Foote require volunteers to fight for Parliament. Musketeers and Pikemen will be trained in the arts of war. The Regiment will assist the new recruit with uniform, weapons and armour. For those not disposed to fighting can become part of the Civilian Corp as artisans or camp followers. :D

Musicians’ are especially welcome whatever instrument they play. Drums are the voice of the Regiment conveying orders on the battlefield or in camp. Musketeers and Pikemen under training have the orders ‘DRUMMED’ into them. Fife players put a jaunty air into the step of the soldiers on the march.
Hurdy-Gurdy players bring a gaiety to the market place in Living History camps. Players of exotic instruments can make a racket or preferably play it by demonstrating their skills to an enthralled public.

After the battle or a day in the Living History camp how civilised to drink real ale, ciders and fine wines under the stars around a campfire being led in song by a guitar player.

In the long winter nights there are feasts and banquets invariably in exotic places with everyone in period costume. Join in with the dancing :o to be delighted how good life can get.
